Marvel Studios artist Andy Park recently teased that Thor: Love and Thunder pushes the boundaries in a few different ways.
Director Taika Waititi undoubtedly put his stamp on the Marvel Cinematic Universe with Thor: Ragnarok and he will attempt to do it again with Love and Thunder.
Taika Waititi previously said that he’s shocked Marvel let him make Thor: Love and Thunder based on how crazy it is, and artist Andy Park backed him up while talking to ScreenRant:
“There’s a reason why there’s been over a decade of successful movies and just why this franchise is growing. So ‘Thor: Love and Thunder’ falls right into that where it’s just pushing the boundaries of what’s comfortable and what should be expected. You’ll be surprised and push these characters and the visuals go along with that. I think [Waititi] said it in some interview where he’s just like, he’s surprised that he’s even, he shouldn’t be allowed to make a movie like this. And I get it. This movie is crazy wild. It’s so much fun. And I simply cannot wait for everyone to see it. Because it was so much fun to work on and design so many characters and do keyframes for. It’s going to be a good one. It’s going to be fun.”
Full details on the plot for Love and Thunder are currently being kept under lock and key. The Marvel Studios film is said to be partly based on Jason Aaron’s Mighty Thor comic book run, with Jane Foster becoming the new Thor.
Directed by Taika Waititi from a script he co-wrote with Jennifer Kaytin Robinson, Love and Thunder stars Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Tessa Thompson, Christian Bale, Jaimie Alexander, Chris Pratt, Pom Klementieff, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Sean Gunn and Jeff Goldblum. Matt Damon, Sam Neill, Luke Hemsworth, Melissa McCarthy, Ben Falcone, and Russell Crowe are also on board.
Thor: Love and Thunder is set to be released on July 8, 2022. Stay tuned for all the latest news on the upcoming Marvel film and be sure to subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more original video content.
