Veteran Spider-Man producer Amy Pascal opened up about Tom Holland’s web crawler potentially crossing over with Venom and Miles Morales.
The future of Spider-Man is looking more exciting and expansive than ever. Sony has a number of Spider-Man adjacent projects in the works, including the commercially successful Venom films, as well as Morbius and Kraven the Hunter. Venom: Let There Be Carnage ended with Tom Holland’s Spider-Man officially being folded into the universe, bridging together the Marvel Cinematic Universe and Sony’s Spider-Man Universe.
With Spidey’s future brighter than ever, many are wondering what’s next for the web crawler after Spider-Man: No Way Home hits cinemas. Some think it might be a full-fledged Venom crossover, while other fans believe it’s time Miles Morales gets formally introduced in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Speaking with Fandango, Spider-Man producer Amy Pascal opened up about the character’s future and discussed if the character would see Venom and Miles Morales anytime soon.
“I would say there’s so many things that we’re going to be able to explore, but what we always have to do before we decide who the villain is going to be and what Spidey goes up against is what is the story we’re telling about? You know? What’s the Peter Parker story we’re telling? What’s the Miles Morales story that we’re telling? But we always have to start with that. The good thing about these movies is as big as the canvas they take place on can be, they are always just stories about a kid.”
Amy Pascal recently confirmed that Tom Holland would be returning as Spider-Man for future films, solidifying his place as one of Marvel’s most recurring characters.
