‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ Promo Features New Doctor Octopus Dialogue

A new promo for Spider-Man: No Way Home includes some new dialogue from Doctor Octopus.

We are less than a month away from the release of Spider-Man: No Way Home, and following the release of the latest trailer last week, the marketing campaign for the film is kicking into high gear. Now, we got another promo tease, giving us a little more dialogue from none other than Doctor Octopus (Alfred Molina).

In this new promo, it kicks off with Doctor Octopus in the bridge fight sequence that has been heavily promoted, in which he utters to himself – or his arms, “Looks like we got competition.” Even more intriguingly, the promo features Peter Parker (Tom Holland) along with MJ (Zendaya) and Ned (Jacob Batalon) talking with Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch), explaining that he needs to fix what has happened and that he “needs some help.” And once again, cue the fan theories of the possible return of two Spider-Men.

Out of all the villains teased in Spider-Man: No Way Home, Doctor Octopus is the one that is featured most prominently. Whether or not that places him as the most significant antagonist of the five confirmed including Green Goblin (Willem Dafoe), Sandman (Thomas Haden Church), Electro (Jamie Foxx) and Lizard (Rhys Ifans) remains to be seen, but the iconography of his arms have been all over the promotional material so far.

Here is the synopsis for Spider-Man: No Way Home:

“For the first time in the cinematic history of Spider-Man, our friendly neighborhood hero’s identity is revealed, bringing his Super Hero responsibilities into conflict with his normal life and putting those he cares about most at risk. When he enlists Doctor Strange’s help to restore his secret, the spell tears a hole in their world, releasing the most powerful villains who’ve ever fought a Spider-Man in any universe. Now, Peter will have to overcome his greatest challenge yet, which will not only forever alter his own future but the future of the Multiverse.”

Directed by Jon Watts from a script written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, Spider-Man: No Way Home stars Tom Holland, Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Tony Revolori, Martin Starr, J.B. Smoove, Marisa Tomei, Jon Favreau, Benedict Wong, Benedict Cumberbatch, Willem Dafoe, Alfred Molina, Jamie Foxx, Thomas Haden Church and Rhys Ifans.
