The alternate ending for Venom: Let There Be Carnage has been revealed.
Spoilers ahead for Venom: Let There Be Carnage.
Tom Hardy’s long-awaited sequel to Venom ended with the reveal that Tom Holland’s Spider-Man existed in the same universe as the symbiote… somehow. Details are still murky on how the crossover will work, but with the multiverse a core tenet of the Marvel Cinematic Universe now, anything is possible.
The sequel is set to home video relatively soon. Fans at home will be able to view a bevy of special features when they pop Venom: Let There Be Carnage into their Blu-ray players later next month. In honor of the film leaving cinemas, a brand new alternate ending for the film has been revealed that’s less chaotic than the one we saw in cinemas.
The deleted scene shows Tom Hardy’s Eddie Brock at the beach with Venom, as both discuss their “relationship”, and if either of them “loves” the other. Spoiler alert: things get awkward and hilarious relatively quickly.
The effects on Venom look a bit off and far more cartoony, likely because this ending was scrapped early into the post-production process. Nevertheless, the ending still works as a hilarious closer for the sequel. Now we just have to wait for the inevitable Spider-Man and Venom crossover to see if the Let There Be Carnage ending was worth it.
Here is the synopsis for Tom Hardy’s Venom: Let There Be Carnage:
“After finding a host body in investigative reporter Eddie Brock, the alien symbiote must face a new enemy, Carnage, the alter ego of serial killer Cletus Kasady.”
Directed by Andy Serkis from a script written by Kelly Marcel, the film stars Tom Hardy, Michelle Williams, Naomie Harris, Reid Scott, Stephen Graham, and Woody Harrelson.
Venom: Let There Be Carnage will be available digitally on November 23rd and on 4K Ultra USH, Blu-Ray, and DVD on December 14th. Stay tuned for all the latest news surrounding the franchise and be sure to subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more original video content.
