Spider-Man: Homecoming star Michael Keaton has confirmed that he’s currently shooting scenes for a Marvel project as the Vulture.
After being locked up at the end of Spider-Man: Homecoming, Adrian Toomes’ future as the Vulture remained uncertain. That is, until, Michael Keaton popped up in the Morbius trailer, leaving more questions than answers. Back when it dropped in 2020, we were uncertain if the film was directly tied to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but in the wake of Venom 2‘s post-credits sequence, we now know that Sony’s Spider-Man Universe and the Marvel Studios projects are inherently linked.
Still, details are fuzzy regarding Michael Keaton’s return as Vulture, and the star isn’t helping out in clearing up the smoke surrounding his return. In a recent chat with Jimmy Kimmel, Keaton revealed that he’s “shooting tomorrow; I’m shooting Vulture stuff.” When Kimmel pressed on to get clarification on which Marvel project he’d be working on, Keaton just maintained that it was “Vulture stuff.”

Well, the possibilities are endless as to which Michael Keaton could be shooting for. He could very well be filming some footage for Spider-Man: No Way Home, which is coincidentally missing one villain to round out the Sinister Six. Or, he could be filming brand new footage for Morbius, which hits cinemas early next year. If we want to go the less obvious route, Keaton could be returning as the Vulture for the half a dozen MCU projects currently in production like Moon Knight or Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, though those are far more unlikely.
