There are few people who attend parties and events quite as regularly as celebrities. From red carpet premieres to fancy award season soirees, frequent event attendance is basically written right into the job description. So when it comes to party outfit inspo, who better to turn to than those who dress up as a professional prerequisite?
With party season just around the corner (how are we already halfway through November?) I’ve taken it upon myself to scour through recent Getty archives to bring you some of the chicest event outfit formulas out there. Between actresses and models, there is certainly no shortage of stylish looks around and whether you’re partial to a shimmering skirt, or are more fond of tailored separates I’ve found a look for just about every aesthetic. Why not take a leaf out of Zendaya’s book and reinvent the tuxedo this festive season? Or emulate Blake Lively by keeping things classic with an updated LBD?
From Kendall Jenner to Awkafina, keep scrolling for 6celebrity party outfit ideas I love this celebratory season.
Style Notes: Awkafina is incredibly chic and possesses quite the penchant for tailored separates. The actress has worn several suits recently but this beige and red look has to be my favourite. Adding a crop top under an oversize blazer is the perfect way to play with proportions.
Style Notes: A LBD might seem like the obvious choice when it comes to party dressing, but Blake Lively has opted for a statement silhouette here which definitely makes the look feel a little more fresh.
Style Notes: Simply put, Hailey Bieber oozes cool. The model could make anything look covetable, though this outfit is a particular favourite of mine. The blazer dress, the sparkly boots, it’s all so festive and so chic.
Style Notes: There’s something so simple about a co-ord. It’s an outfit in-and-of itself that requires very little effort to put together, yet always seems well thought-out. I love the way Jourdan Dunn has opted for this bright shade of metallic pink, and luckily Monki has something very similar available right now.
Style Notes: In my eyes, Zendaya can do no wrong. She is a red carpet expert and treats every event like her own personal runway. However, while she’s known for her more daring ensembles, this tuxedo-inspired look has been one of my favourites recently. It feels like quite an achievable outfit to emulate, all you need is a long dress and a slouchy tuxedo blazer.
Style Notes: A printed mesh dress feels like a relatively versatile party outfit and I love the fact that the same look could easily be worn with sneakers for a more subtle affair. However, dress up the outfit with a pair of heels, and you’ve got yourself a look worthy of Kendall Jenner.
