The official trailer for The Witcher Season 2 showcases the return of Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia.
With less than two months away from its release, the long-awaited second season of Netflix’s The Witcher series has dropped. Henry Cavill, who plays Geralt of Rivia returns on the latest chapter of his perilous journey with Princess Cirilla (Freya Allan).
The new trailer for The Witcher Season 2 gives us a glimpse at the larger scale that the series is now at, compared to Season 1. The action looks to be upgraded significantly, and Henry Cavill’s Geralt looks to be tackling more monsters this time around. Through some sweeping shots and some integral character moments, this new trailer is set to Kanye West’s “Monster.”

The Witcher Season 1 debuted in December 2019, with the series becoming an instant hit for Netflix. The series was renewed for a second season a month before its premiere but experienced some pandemic-related shutdowns during production.
Based on the fantasy series of novels and short stories by Andrzej Sapkowski, Netflix’s The Witcher follows a monster slayer for hire named Geralt of Rivia, played by Henry Cavill. Here is the official synopsis for Season 2 of The Witcher:
Convinced Yennefer’s life was lost at the Battle of Sodden, Geralt of Rivia brings Princess Cirilla to the safest place he knows, his childhood home of Kaer Morhen.
