A brand new promo for Hawkeye starring Jeremy Renner plays up the holiday spirit in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The highly-anticipated new series from Marvel Studios Hawkeye is set to premiere within the next few weeks, just in time for the holidays. Jeremy Renner stars in his first solo outing as Clint Barton alongside Hailee Steinfeld in her MCU debut as Kate Bishop, following them on a perilous adventure as Christmas rolls along.

Much like Shane Black’s Iron Man 3, this Hawkeye series looks to ring in the Christmas cheer for the MCU amidst all the big action set pieces. As exciting as that looks, the show will need to succeed on the charm and chemistry of both Jeremy Renner and Hailee Steinfeld. Given that Clint Barton is mentoring the possible future Avenger, that will be the key factor on whether or not this series succeeds.

Former Avenger Clint Barton has a seemingly simple mission: get back to his family for Christmas. Possible? Maybe with the help of Kate Bishop, a 22-year-old archer with dreams of becoming a Super Hero. The two are forced to work together when a presence from Barton’s past threatens to derail far more than the festive spirit.
Hawkeye stars Jeremy Renner, Hailee Steinfeld, Vera Farmiga, Fra Fee, Tony Dalton, Brian d’Arcy James, and Alaqua Cox. Florence Pugh is expected to return in her Black Widow role.
