I always felt like I had long lashes. That, along with using a lash curler and a selection of curling and lengthening mascaras every day I felt like my lashes were perfectly fine– no further assistance necessary. I very rarely wore falsies and never tried extensions; I just didn’t feel like I needed extra help. But as is the nature of being a Beauty Editor, when it came to using Revitalash I was curious about the claims of longer, stronger lashes that came along with the Eyelash Serum that has become a cult favourite for beauty lovers around the world.
Revitalash Advanced Eyelash Serum isn’t new by any means (although the brand is launching a new brow and lash masque in November 2021), in fact the brand celebrated its 15th year anniversary this year and they’ve sold 10 million tubes worldwide. But as more beauty editors I knew dabbled with brow and lash growth serums I figured, what’s the harm in trying it; if my lashes were already at their length capacity then it’s fine, at least I gave it a try. The serum’s growing power is hinged on the BioPeptin Complex, a mix of peptides and botanicals which helps to strengthens lashes and aid growth over time.
Before using Revitalash Advanced Eyelash Conditioner
To say I was humbled is an understatement. With consistent use, my lashes are longer than I could have imagined. When I look up and shift my eyes from left to right, I can feel my lashes tickle my brow. When I add mascara into the mix, they look like I’ve added in individuals. I feel like it’s given my coy eyelash batting a new lease of life, especially in the era of the facemask.
I have to put emphasis on the need for consistency though. You do need to be disciplined– every night before I go to bed, I swipe the brush across my top lash line and allow the ingredients to sink in to encourage growth. I used it at night because the body repair itself at night so I figured that was the best time for aiding growth, however, if you prefer, the morning is fine too. Whatever time you use it just make sure you allow it to sink in before you put anything else on your lashes.
After using Revitalash Advanced Eyelash Conditioner for 4 months
Having started using it in mid-July and by late August I had noticed a difference in my lash length sans mascara. By September, people had begun to comment on them. Whenever someone asks, “What mascara do you use?” I always direct them to Revitalash now. It’s not inexpensive but the 3.5ml tube lasts over 6 months, and costs the equivalent of a full set of lash extensions in London.
So far, I haven’t had any drama with using this lash serum but I’m wary that, just like with hair growth, lash cycles run their course at a certain point, I’m just hoping that the strength of the serum will keep them as fluttery as they look now.
Droopy lashes are a hard one to correct without lash curlers but this mascara genuinely acts like a push up bra for your lashes.
The bristles on this wand coats every strand to lengthen and give subtle volume. It gives the vibe of false lashes without the fuss.
Who doesn’t love options? With this mascara you have the option of lengthening or volumising, or both. I opt for length with a swipe of volume and the drama is real.
The shape of this wand is interesting but for good reason. I use the flat side to swipe on the mascara and the comb-like wand to brush it through. The tiny bristles at the tip coat the smallest baby lashes.
The hourglass shape of the bristles mean that no lash goes uncoated and the formula gives the best of lengthening and volumising without smudging or transfer.
