We’ve Found the Best Boots Around—And They’re All Under £250

Boots, glorious boots. The one thing that makes the oncoming grey days and dark nights bearable. Nothing beats that fresh-out-of-the-box, new season, new boot feeling (apart from perhaps the elation when you find a pair that don’t give you blisters on the first wear). As such a staple of our winter wardrobes, boots of all kinds really do deserve a medal for how many footwear dilemmas they see us through and especially for how versatile they make our wardrobes.

The perfect western pair will tone down a dressy-dress and make those summery styles autumn appropriate. A fancy ankle boot will ‘glow up’ jeans and a knit; anything with a heel suddenly makes wide leg trousers actually wearable; and a chunky chelsea or hiking style will ensure you’re still looking on point for those cosy winter walks (and the inevitable ‘gram).

The beauty is that fashion trends come and go, but buy a classic colour (tan, black, cream) or animal-print pair and they will last you for seasons. I promise I’m not just saying that, the black ankle boots I currently have on from Office (similar to these) are into their third year and still going strong despite wearing them constantly. This in itself proves you don’t have to spend thousands to ensure they last either. Just make friends with your local shoe-repair shop and pop in for a re-sole every once in a while.

Here at Who What Wear UK we have daily discussions about our favourite pairs (stay tuned next week when all will be revealed) and are constantly sending links to each other for approval on which new ones to invest in. If you’re anything like me who struggles to make a decision on which sandwich to buy at lunch, you might be slightly overwhelmed by the number of options out there. To help, I’ve scrolled through all our favourite brands have to offer and picked out the best styles under £250. Happy Shopping!
