Will Poulter has finally spoken about his Adam Warlock casting for the MCU.
It was revealed last evening that Midsommar actor Will Poulter had been tapped to play Adam Warlock for the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. Shortly after the reveal broke, Guardians director James Gunn confirmed the news himself on Twitter, welcoming Poulter into the MCU.
Now, Will Poulter has broken his silence on the Adam Warlock casting. Responding to James Gunn’s announcement tweet, Poulter thanked the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 director for his kind words and expressed his eagerness to start working on the role.
Adam Warlock was teased in one of the many post-credits scenes in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. After the Guardians tricked Ayesha, the leader and High Priestess of the Sovereign people, she vowed to destroy the ragtag team and began to create a powerful being, who she named Adam. Ayesha will likely return in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 as she teaches Will Poulter’s Adam Warlock how to destroy the team.
The Guardians of the Galaxy were last seen in Avengers: Endgame. Here’s the synopsis for the film:
The grave course of events set in motion by Thanos that wiped out half the universe and fractured the Avengers ranks compels the remaining Avengers to take one final stand in Marvel Studios’ grand conclusion to twenty-two films,”Avengers: Endgame.”
Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, Avengers: Endgame stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Benedict Cumberbatch, Don Cheadle, Tom Holland, Chadwick Boseman, Paul Bettany, Elizabeth Olsen, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Danai Gurira, Letitia Wright, Dave Bautista, Zoe Saldana, Paul Rudd, Jeremy Renner, Brie Larson, Josh Brolin, and Chris Pratt.
