Michael Keaton says his Batman suit from over 30 years ago still fit him on the set of The Flash.
After stepping away from the role after 1989’s Batman Returns, Michael Keaton is set to reprise his role as The Caped Crusader for Andy Muschietti’s The Flash. The Flash is set to introduce the larger multiverse to the DC Extended Universe by featuring two different Batmen: Ben Affleck’s and Keaton’s.
In a recent interview with The Late Show, Michael Keaton revealed that he’s completed his scenes for the DC film. When asked if the suit still fit the star, the Batman star confirmed that even after 30 years, the suit was “Svelte as ever. Same dimensions. Same fitting.”
Keaton continued by discussing how it was great to play the character again after so long. Ben Affleck recently revealed how working on The Flash was a much more fun experience than starring as Batman in Justice League.
Details on The Flash are slim, though, with DC FanDome on the horizon, we should know more about Ezra Miller’s first solo outing as the speedster.
Directed by Andy Muschietti from a script written by Birds of Prey scribe Christina Hodson, The Flash will be inspired by the Flashpoint comic storyline which followed The Flash as he navigated an altered DC Universe. Written by Geoff Johns and penciled by Andy Kuber, Flashpoint radically altered the status of the DC Comics universe and led to the launch of the New 52 titles. It is currently unknown how much inspiration the upcoming Ezra Miller film will take from the comic.
The Flash is set to hit theaters on June 3, 2022. Stay tuned for all the latest news on The Flash and be sure to subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more exclusive video content.
