A brand new poster for the upcoming episode of What If…? shows Gamora wearing Thanos’ iconic armor.
Spoilers ahead for episode 8 of What If…?
The last episode of What If…? saw Ultron wielding the Infinity Stones and decimating the Avengers. Eventually, the Tony Stark-created A.I ended up taking control of The Watcher’s observatory, rendering himself invincible and omnipotent. The episode was widely praised for its risky story that ultimately paid off. Now, Marvel Studios has teased the final episode of the season, hinting at a familiar character that is set to take down the android.
The season finale of What If…? is set to bring Gamora into the fold as she joins The Watcher and other Avengers to destroy the tyrannical Ultron. To tease the finale, Marvel debuted a brand new poster featuring Gamora wearing Thanos’ armor, proving that she means business.
It’s unclear how Gamora got her father’s armor but it’s something that will most likely be explored in the episode. Details on the episode are still slim, though we do know that Gamora will be taking a stand against Ultron. It remains to be seen how other characters, including her father Thanos, factor into the season finale which airs this Wednesday.
