Eminem’s new single for Venom: Let There Be Carnage is finally out.
After a week of teasing, Eminem has finally dropped his single for Venom: Let There Be Carnage. The Slim Shady first dropped a single for the first film, aptly titled “Venom”, that reflected on the Sony picture’s chaotic themes. The single was a huge success for Eminem and helped spark interest in the film of the same name. Naturally, both the artist and film benefited from the collaboration so it made sense that Marshall Mathers would dip his toes into Sony’s symbiote pool again.
However, there’s a slight change, albeit a welcome one. This isn’t technically an Eminem single. It’s a Skylar Grey track (a frequent collaborator with Dr. Drew and Eminem) that features The Slim Shady, Polo G, and Mozzy. That distinction shouldn’t change your impression of the track as it’s still a worthwhile effort in the ever-expanding Venom musical saga.
Skylar Grey masterfully delivers the chorus, serving as the perfect buffer between the precise bars traded back and forth. Even with just a handful of verses, Eminem skillfully delivers the goods. It also has to be mentioned how Polo G and Mozzy stand toe to toe with Eminem in terms of delivering bars. The song is sure to get some considerable radio time once everyone has seen Venom: Let There Be Carnage so get on the bandwagon train now before it leaves the station.
Here is the synopsis for Sony’s first Venom film:
“The evolution story of Marvel’s most enigmatic, complex and badass character – Venom! Eddie Brock (Tom Hardy) is a broken man after he loses everything including his job and fiancée. Just when his life is at its lowest, he becomes host to an alien symbiote which results in extraordinary superpowers – transforming him into Venom. Will these powers be enough for this new lethal protector to defeat great evil forces, especially against the far stronger and more weaponized symbiote rival, Riot?”
Directed by Ruben Fleischer from a script written by Jeff Pinkner & Scott Rosenberg and Kelly Marcel, Venom stars Tom Hardy, Michelle Williams, Riz Ahmed, Scott Haze, Reid Scott, Jenny Slate, Ron Cephas Jones, and Woody Harrelson.
Venom is available on Digital HD, 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD, while Andy Serkis’ Let There Be Carnage is out now in cinemas.
