A new clip from Venom: Let There Be Carnage teases Cletus Kasady’s terrifying transformation into the blood-red symbiote.
After a series of delays, Andy Serkis’ long-awaited Venom: Let There Be Carnage is set to hit cinemas this Friday. Joining Tom Hardy this time around is Woody Harrelson, who has been tapped to play the serial killer Cletus Kasady, who becomes the host for the menacing Carnage symbiote. Harrelson first appeared as the character in the final moments of 2018’s Venom, teasing his eventual appearance as Carnage.
A brand new clip from Venom: Let There Be Carnage has been released that shows just how Cletus Kasady becomes the devilish symbiote. The clip shows the serial killer seemingly on the final stretch of death row as he’s about to euthanized. Before the life is sucked out of him, the sneaky symbiote unleashes itself upon Kasady, resulting in Carnage going berserk.
It’s a genuinely terrifying clip and really highlights just how menacing Carnage is capable of being. Woody Harrelson has long been a fan favorite for Carnage – even as far back as 2007 for Sam Raimi’s scrapped Spider-Man 4 – so it’s quite exciting that the actor was brought in to portray the symbiote. The wait to see Harrelson’s Carnage grows shorter by the hour as we approach Venom: Let There Be Carnage’s October 1 release.
Here is the synopsis for Sony’s first Venom film:
“The evolution story of Marvel’s most enigmatic, complex and badass character – Venom! Eddie Brock (Tom Hardy) is a broken man after he loses everything including his job and fiancée. Just when his life is at its lowest, he becomes host to an alien symbiote which results in extraordinary superpowers – transforming him into Venom. Will these powers be enough for this new lethal protector to defeat great evil forces, especially against the far stronger and more weaponized symbiote rival, Riot?”
Directed by Ruben Fleischer from a script written by Jeff Pinkner & Scott Rosenberg and Kelly Marcel, Venom stars Tom Hardy, Michelle Williams, Riz Ahmed, Scott Haze, Reid Scott, Jenny Slate, Ron Cephas Jones, and Woody Harrelson.
Venom is available on Digital HD, 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD, while Let There Be Carnage will hit theaters on October 1. Stay tuned for all the latest news on the future of the Venomverse, and be sure to subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more original video content.
