It has not been an easy day for the ladies at The view outside the window !
For starters, moderator Whoopi Goldberg has been out of the studio since Tuesday — meaning she was missing out on a HUGE in-person interview with Vice President Kamala Harris on Friday’s episode. Talk about potentially having some major FOMO!
But it turns out what she was missing was a giant clusterf**k. Because that was only the beginning of the daytime talk show’ s problems…
Following the first commercial break, producers abruptly asked Sunny Hostin and Ana Navarro to leave the set just moments before Harris planned to grace the particular stage. Of course, the two ladies understandably looked pretty perplexed as they walked away. After someone told the co-hosts they were “gonna bring you back later, ” Joy Behar asked if she should introduce the vice president for the next segment, to which one producer replied “yes” while another shouted “no. ”
Weird…

The show eventually cut to commercial, and when they returned, Pleasure explained Sunny and Ana’s sudden exits to the audience:
“Since this is going to be a major news story any minute now, what happened is, Sunny and Ana both apparently tested positive for COVID. ”
Oh, s**t! She continued:
“No matter how hard we try, these things happen. They probably had a breakthrough case, and they’ ll be okay, I’ m sure because they’ re both vaccinated up the wazoo! ”
In terms of typically the Veep, the 78-year-old comedian promised Kamala would still be stopping by to chat once everything was good to go:
“The vice president is being prepped for her arrival. They cleaned the table, they washed the hands. Everybody is getting all cleaned upward, and she’ ll be out here in a second. ”

Joy may have spoken too soon! A producer later informed her and Sara Haines that they would become interviewing Harris remotely — even though she was still in this building — out of an abundance of caution.
However, often the 56-year-old politician took her sweet time and reportedly didn’t appear on the show until a new lot later. When she did finally come on, Joy immediately expressed:
“I just want to say, I hope that you’re in some sort of safe spot right now. We do everything we could to make sure you’re safe because we value you so much. ”
To which Kamala replied:
“Thank a person, Joy, and to everyone plus, listen, Sunny and Ana are strong women, and I know they’re fine. But it really does speak to the fact they’re vaccinated, and vaccines really make all the difference because otherwise, we would end up being concerned about hospitalization and worse. ”
True and all, but… if they’ re just doing it remotely anyway, couldn’ t Sunny in addition to Ana have also joined in remotely?

In all seriousness, though, we hope that Sunny and Ana are getting their rest at this time, and we wish them a good speedy recovery. Please, do your part and get vaccinated due to the fact, as Kamala said, it truly makes a big difference.
