Loni Love isn’t here for any Jeannie Mai shade!
Unlike some other daytime talk shows, the co-hosts on The Real clearly have each other’s backs, and Loni proved as much on Thursday after weighing in on some drama involving Jeannie Mai’s ex-husband, Freddy Harteis.

It all apparently started in an Instagram comments section earlier this week, where Harteis — who officially split from Mai back in 2017 — allegedly remarked that he “upgraded from trash to treasure a long time ago” — right after the TV host’s announcement this week that she’s expecting a baby with husband Jeezy.
Trash to treasure??
Seriously?! Dude…
In a comment captured by IG account TheNeighborhoodTalk, which appears to have later been deleted, an account belonging to Harteis reportedly added this shady shot to that eye-popping “trash to treasure” remark, too:
“Best decision I ever made, Congratulations. Being truly happy is an awesome feeling. Love my little family.”
Um… wow! Talk about passive-aggressive!
But Loni wasn’t playing around, adding her own opinion in to the mix and fully defending her newly-pregnant friend!! According to E! News, in a separate comment regarding the alleged Harteis diss, the comedian tagged Jeannie’s ex by his IG handle and wrote:
“Auntie Loni here: This sounds like a woman answering… @thehollywoodhunter you better then this … We were happy with your children being born so show the same grace to Baby Jenkins.”
Boom!

Oh, and BTW, the aggro commenting didn’t end there!
Harteis’ current partner, Linsey Toole, also apparently lobbed a shot at Jeezy’s pregnant wife this week, too! Without specifying what exactly went down, Toole cryptically claimed that Mai put her through some kind of drama while she was pregnant with one of Harteis’ children. Per the outlet, Toole wrote:
“I truly don’t want to put her through what she put me through when I was pregnant. Stop the drama and let us all live.”
Like we said, she’s short on specifics there. Toole and Harteis share two children — daughter Emersyn Rose, who they welcomed in 2018, and son Huck Fredrick, who they welcome in 2019 — so it’s not even clear to which pregnancy Toole is referring.
Whatever the case may be, at least one thing is clear: Loni Love isn’t afraid to call anybody out and defend her friends!
