Prepare to witness the resurrection of an acclaimed action RPG. Diablo II: Resurrected (and its expansion, Lord of Destruction) is here. After more than 20 years, Diablo II’s epic hack-and-slash gameplay and immersive storytelling are coming to players on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One for the first time.
Whether you’re a veteran or a new player, the world of Sanctuary has a lot to behold. Plunge into an epic story with fully remastered 3D graphics, audio, and brand-new cinematics; fighting the denizens of the Burning Hells as you quest east to uncover the fate of the Dark Wanderer.
“Many moons have passed since I left the town of Tristram behind me. Since then I’ve tried to forget the terrors I beheld beneath the cold earth, and the twisted nightmares that have haunted my every waking moment. There’s something dark within me now; I can feel it, driving me towards the East, assuring me that my salvation lies within the ruins of ancient kingdoms. Though I know the way, I know not what perils will arise to hinder my journey, and as I pass through the first gate, I know that the better part of my soul will remain behind… forever.”
— The Dark Wanderer
Playing as one of the seven classes, forge a path through icy caverns, tombs of the undead, and desolate wastelands to usurp the Prime Evils. Now in up to 4K resolution (specific systems apply), players can traverse across the realm with their heroes, slaying monsters, casting spells, and gathering epic loot with an all-new level of graphical fidelity. The capabilities of Xbox Series X|S will showcase this game unlike ever before, with quicker load-times and higher framerates than the original. Evil has never looked so good. Learn more about these enhancements here in this exclusive Xbox Wire feature, Inside Xbox Series X|S Optimized – Diablo II: Resurrected.
Stay a While and Listen
Play solo or rally up to 7 other friends/family to rid Sanctuary of its demonic occupation. Or test your mettle in PvP duels for pride and your growing ear collection. The choice is yours.
Choose Your Class
In Diablo II: Resurrected, players can create a character based on seven classes, this includes the Amazon, Assassin, Necromancer, Barbarian, Paladin, Sorceress, and Druid. Each of these classes provides players with access to 30 unique skills and playstyles to eliminate one’s foes.
The Preserved and Accessible Experience
More than two decades later, this timeless classic has been made accessible to players playing on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One. From supporting cross-progression to cross-generational play, our team has made great efforts to modernize the original without jeopardizing the charm of the classic.
Cross-progression will enable players to take their progress where they play. Players who connect and sync their Battle.net accounts to this platform’s game will be able to save and carry over their progression (I.e., loot, level, quest, progress, skills, and talents) to different platforms including PC.
Cross-generational play will enable players on the current and last generation of consoles to play together. For example, if you have an Xbox Series X|S, but your friend plays on Xbox One, you can still play alongside each other in intense multiplayer. Diablo II: Resurrected also supports Smart Delivery, giving you the best version of the game automatically to your Xbox console, regardless of generation, with no extra steps required from you.
Diablo II: Resurrected will include revamped Ladder Seasons, to those who wish to compete and rank up on the world stage against countless players in XP. The game’s User Interface has been redesigned with a new and improved aesthetic that outlines players character sheet state information, item tooltip comparisons, and more. More space for more loot is always a plus! The personal/shared Stash from the original Diablo II has now been significantly expanded in Diablo II: Resurrected, so players can collect and hoard more of their gear (which can be easily transferred between heroes).
Purchase Today on the Xbox Store
Evil will not wait. So, your quest to protect Sanctuary may begin today! Diablo II: Resurrected is now available on the Xbox Store (Xbox Live Gold is required to access multiplayer features).
Diablo II: Resurrected has been a labor of love, crafted by fans of the original seeking to relive their nostalgia of their pasts, while also welcoming new players to this beautiful dark fantastical experience.
