Seth Green Says ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’ Will Focus On Gamora & Nebula

Howard the Duck actor Seth Green says that Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will focus on Gamora and Nebula’s story.

The last time we saw the Guardians of the Galaxy was in 2019’s Avengers: Endgame, which drastically changed the dynamic of the interstellar team. For one, the Gamora that we knew died at the hands of her father in Avengers: Infinity War. In Endgame, the 2014, not yet redeemed Gamora pops up, with the implication that she’ll join the Guardians of the Galaxy.

In a recent chat with ComicBook.com, Howard the Duck voice actor Seth Green discussed how he’s unaware if the talking duck will pop up in the final film to round out the trilogy. Green did, however, let it slip that the threequel is set to focus on Gamora and Nebula’s relationship.

“I don’t know if Howard’s a part of it, I haven’t heard anything about that. The only thing I know is that it’s the girls’ story, it’s the sisters’ story, that it’s Gamora and Nebula’s story. So I don’t know if it’s a prequel, or if it comes off in the new timeline that’s splintered post-the Time Heist. Honestly, I don’t know anything about it.”

Gamora’s placement is interesting as she’s essentially starting from scratch, which means the new version hasn’t made amends with her sister Nebula and hasn’t fallen in love with Peter Quill. Gamora’s frame of mind seems to hint at which direction Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will go in. The sequel is said to be extremely emotional so we’ll just have to wait and see just how James Gunn tugs at our heartstrings.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is expected to star Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, Elizabeth Debicki, and Sean Gunn. The cast was last seen in Avengers: Endgame. Here’s the synopsis:

The grave course of events set in motion by Thanos that wiped out half the universe and fractured the Avengers ranks compels the remaining Avengers to take one final stand in Marvel Studios’ grand conclusion to twenty-two films, “Avengers: Endgame.”

Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, Avengers: Endgame stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Benedict Cumberbatch, Don Cheadle, Tom Holland, Chadwick Boseman, Paul Bettany, Elizabeth Olsen, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Danai Gurira, Letitia Wright, Dave Bautista, Zoe Saldana, Paul Rudd, Jeremy Renner, Brie Larson, Josh Brolin, and Chris Pratt.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is set to hit theaters on May 5, 2023. Stay tuned for all the latest news regarding the upcoming sequel and subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more original video content!
