Kathryn Hahn would like to reprise her role as Agatha Harkness from WandaVision in a future Marvel Cinematic Universe project.
One of the highlights of Marvel Studios’ first miniseries WandaVision was the performance of Kathryn Hahn as Agatha Harkness. Her performance as the series’ primary antagonist received acclaim from critics and audiences alike, and garnered her an Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Limited Series or Movie.
By the end of WandaVision, Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) traps Agatha Harkness into the “Agnes” persona we were first introduced to her is as the series began. Given that the character remains alive, it is possible that we will see her again down the line, and Kathryn Hahn is certainly down to return.
While speaking with Variety, Kathryn Hahn revealed the following in regards to what she knows about her future in the MCU as Agatha Harkness:
“I don’t know. I hope somewhere. I hope anywhere. I love her madly. Listen, I’m with you. But who knows?”
Given that WandaVision leads into the upcoming Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, it’ll be interesting to see how the story continues, and whether or not Agatha Harkness will be involved. Here’s hoping we see the wonderful Kathryn Hahn return to the MCU sooner rather than later.
