Netflix has finally dropped the long-awaited trailer for the third season of Penn Badgley’s You.
The hit psychological thriller series is back with an intense new trailer that we just can’t keep rewatching. You originally debuted in 2018 on Lifetime but gained traction when it was released on Netflix. After an uber-successful second season which saw Joe meeting Love, Lifetime moved the series over to Netflix, making it an exclusive for the streaming giant.
Now, after patiently waiting over two years for the third season, which will see Joe and Love “happily” married, Netflix has finally dropped a trailer and it sure is something. All starts out well for the new Goldberg family, who have just birthed a new son. Things don’t go as planned for the couple when a new neighbor moves in who inadvertently wakes up Joe’s unhinged obsession.
You can check out the trailer below.
While we’re excited to see Joe back in the act, we’re most looking forward to seeing Love manage her husband’s idiosyncrasies. The first two seasons did a great job of highlighting Joe’s mental state, but this time around, we’re really hoping to see more of Love in control of the entire situation. We know she’s capable of besting Joe at his own game, so we’ll just have to wait and watch to see what happens!
Here is the synopsis for Penn Badley’s You season 3:
In the third season, Joe and Love are married and raising their newborn son, Henry, in the Californian suburb of Madre Linda. As their relationship dynamic takes a new turn, Joe continues to repeat the cycle of obsession with a burgeoning interest in Natalie, the next door neighbor. This time, Love will flip the script to ensure that her dream of having the perfect family will not be torn away so easily by Joe’s compulsive actions.
Netflix’s You season 3 stars Penn Badgley as Joe Goldberg, Victoria Pedretti as Love Quinn, Ambyr Childers as Candace, Jenna Ortega as Ellie, James Scully as Forty Quinn, Carmela Zumbado as Delilah Alves, and Robin Lord Taylor as Will.
You‘s third season will drop on October 15th on Netflix.
