Black Widow star Florence Pugh is down for a team-up with Tom Hiddleston as Loki.
One of the most-acclaimed aspects of Marvel Studios’ Black Widow was the introduction of new characters – particularly Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh). The character, who the Marvel Cinematic Universe is looking to build up as the new Black Widow left a mark on fans, turning her into an instant favorite, putting her alongside Loki (Tom Hiddleston) as a scene-stealing sibling to a titular MCU hero.
While speaking with Firstpost about her work in Black Widow, Florence Pugh was asked if there were any other characters in the MCU she would love to interact with onscreen, to which she expressed intrigue at Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen), but ultimately chose Loki:
“I’ve always been intrigued by the Scarlet Witch [played by Elizabeth Olsen]. Just because I really like how equally bizarre she is as well… I think if Yelena were to bump into anyone from the MCU who is just as opinionated and in love of taking the p*** out of every single one of them, then I think she’d probably find Loki very interesting because he kind of does that too.”
Both Florence Pugh and Tom Hiddleston are looking to be significant figures in the MCU moving forward, particularly on the small screen with the Disney Plus shows. Obviously, Tom Hiddleston headlines Loki, which is currently set for a second season, but Florence Pugh is set to reprise her role as Yelena Belova in the upcoming Hawkeye series, in which the Black Widow post-credits scene set her up to take on Jeremy Renner’s Clint Barton in vengeance of her sister Natasha’s sacrifice.
It’ll be interesting to see if Florence Pugh and Tom Hiddleston team-up together as Yelena Belova and Loki respectively. After all, one of the things the MCU does best is bringing the unique characters together for an exciting dynamic, and the siblings of two of the founding members of the Avengers will certainly have a lot to talk about.
Here is the synopsis for Black Widow:

Pursued by a force that will stop at nothing to bring her down, Natasha must deal with her history as a spy and the broken relationships left in her wake long before she became an Avenger.
