‘Eternals’: Magazine Covers Tease Our New Favorite Marvel Heroes

Magazine covers for Marvel’s upcoming Eternals give us our best look yet at our soon-to-be-favorite heroes.

Chloe Zhao’s Eternals is one of the most anticipated films of the year, mostly due to the director’s clout. Earlier this year, Chloe Zhao’s Nomadland went on to win Best Picture and Best Director, making Zhao the first Marvel director to bag an Academy Award. Now that Shang-Chi is out, all eyes have turned to Marvel’s next effort.

Set to focus on a race of immortal beings who are sent to watch over the Earth, Eternals features an all-star ensemble cast that will take us through our planet’s many historical eras. To hype up the upcoming sprawling epic, Total Film has teamed up with Marvel to release four new character-centric covers that showcase the film’s heroes.

The first cover features Kingo, a Bollywood star and Eternal who can project cosmic energy, Druig, who is capable of manipulating minds, and Makkari, who has super speed.

The second cover features Sprite, an Eternal who has the guise of a young child and has the ability to project illusions. It also has Ajak, the leader of the Eternals, and Phastos, a mastermind in technology.

The third cover showcases Thena and Gilgamesh, arguably the strongest Eternals.

The final cover puts the spotlight on Ikaris and Sersi, whose relationship is set to be at the core of the film’s expansive 7,000 year-long narrative.

Chloé Zhao is directing Eternals from a script written by Matthew and Ryan Firpo. The cast of the Marvel Studios project includes Gemma Chan as Sersi, Kit Harington as Dane Whitman, Richard Madden as Ikaris, Kumail Nanjiani as Kingo, Lauren Ridloff as Makkari, Brian Tyree Henry as Phastos, Salma Hayek as Ajak, Lia McHugh as Sprite, Don Lee as Gilgamesh, Angelina Jolie as Thena, and Barry Keoghan as Druig.

Eternals is set to hit theaters on November 5, 2021. Stay tuned for all the latest news on the release of Eternals and be sure to subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more original video content.
