A new Shang-Chi clip revealed a cameo from a Black Widow character.
Marvel Studios is known for making numerous connections to different aspects of the Marvel Cinematic Universe in each of their films and television series, and the release of Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is no exception. While the film serves as a solid standalone story in the MCU, the connections are still there, with one particular connection to Black Widow.
In a new clip for Shang-Chi, we see stunt performer Jade Xu reprise her role as one of the many Widows we see in Black Widow. During a watch party for Black Widow in July, Kevin Feige revealed that we would be seeing her in a future film:
Jade Xu was one of the many Widows that were set free in Black Widow during the film’s climax. Given the history of what happens to Widows, it’s exciting to see that she is thriving in the MCU as she battles against an Extremis-powered individual.

Here is the synopsis for Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings:
“Simu Liu stars as Shang-Chi in Marvel Studios’ Shang-Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings. Shang-Chi must confront the past he thought he left behind when he is drawn into the web of the mysterious Ten Rings organization.”
Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton from a script written by David Callaham, the upcoming Marvel film stars Simu Liu, Awkwafina, Meng’er Zhang, Fala Chen, Florian Munteanu, Benedict Wong, Michelle Yeoh, and Tony Leung. The film is now in cinemas.
