A new poster for Venom: Let There Be Carnage features Naomie Harris’ Shriek alongside Venom and Carnage.
After a long wait, Venom: Let There Be Carnage is finally set to hit theatres this October. Anticipation for the sequel is through the roof thanks to the inclusion of Carnage, a character fans have wanted to see on the big screen for decades. What makes his debut even better is that he’ll be going toe-to-toe with Venom right off the bat, making Let There Be Carnage the dream comic book movie. While Carnage is the star of the show, our eyes are on Shriek, one of the more underrated characters from the Venom mythos. Details on the film’s supporting characters, particularly Shriek have been non-existent. While we’ve seen the Naomie Harris played character briefly appear in trailers, we haven’t gotten a solid look at the villain.
A new Venom: Let There Be Carnage poster remedies that by placing Naomie Harris’ Shriek alongside the film’s principal characters.
Naomie Harris’ Shriek is seen beside Tom Hardy’s Eddie Bock, who gets top billing. Interestingly, Shriek is set to be Carnage’s love interest, who she is placed across from. Hardy’s Eddie Brock is placed across from Michelle Williams’ Anne, his love interest. Clearly, there’s some romantic tension at play in this new poster that confirms the October release.
Here is the synopsis for Sony’s first Venom film:
The evolution story of Marvel’s most enigmatic, complex and badass character – Venom! Eddie Brock (Tom Hardy) is a broken man after he loses everything including his job and fiancée. Just when his life is at its lowest, he becomes host to an alien symbiote which results in extraordinary superpowers – transforming him into Venom. Will these powers be enough for this new lethal protector to defeat great evil forces, especially against the far stronger and more weaponized symbiote rival, Riot?
Directed by Ruben Fleischer from a script written by Jeff Pinkner & Scott Rosenberg and Kelly Marcel, Venom stars Tom Hardy, Michelle Williams, Riz Ahmed, Scott Haze, Reid Scott, Jenny Slate, Ron Cephas Jones, and Woody Harrelson.
Venom is available on Digital HD, 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD, while Let There Be Carnage will hit theaters on October 15.
