Tom Holland says the first Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer is “just the tip of the iceberg” when it comes to reveals.
After months of theorizing online, the first Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer confirmed that villains from previous Spider-Man films would be making their Marvel Cinematic Universe debut. The trailer explicitly showed Alfred Molina’s Doctor Octopus and teased Jamie Foxx’s Electro and Willem Dafoe’s Green Goblin. Some fans even think that Rhys Ifans’ Lizard was seen amongst the chaos, though the jury is still out on that one. While all of that information is already mind-blowing, Tom Holland says that what we saw in the trailer was “just the tip of the iceberg”. Wow!
The Spider-Man star took to Instagram to share a brief video of himself talking about the No Way Home trailer. In the video, he revealed that he was flying while the trailer dropped, so he wasn’t able to join in on the fun.
“I’m at the airport. I’ve been flying for the last 10 hours, so I didn’t actually post the trailer. My brother, Harry, did, so I haven’t been able to the reactions and how excited everyone is. I’ve just landed, so I turned my phone on, and my phone has gone mental. The love and support you guys have shown for the film is so exciting. Honestly, that is just the tip of the iceberg.”
“You have no idea what else is to come. I’m so excited to share more with you guys and it feels so good. It feels so good to be back with Spider-Man, to be showing you trailers, to have films coming out…this is so exciting. I love you all. Thank you for your support, and enjoy the trailer!”
It’s not exactly certain what Tom Holland is teasing but it’s safe to say that he’s at least hinting at the rumors that suggest Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield are returning as their respective Spider-Men. Only time will tell if the other Peter Parkers are in it, though after last night’s trailer, we think their inclusion is a strong possibility!
Here is the synopsis for Spider-Man: Far From Home:
