A new trailer for Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings has teased the film’s magical and fantastical elements.
Marvel Studios is set to release Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings on Labor Day long weekend, making it the first film the studio has exclusively released in theatres since 2019’s Spider-Man: Far From Home. The hype is through the roof for the Simu Liu-led film, as first reactions from the film have been wholly positive, with highlights including the film’s insane action sequences.
Similar to Black Panther, Shang-Chi will release alongside a soundtrack album that features contemporary artists. A brand new trailer for the film features Dj Snake, Rick Ross, and Rich Brian’s “Run It”. The trailer is filled with tons of new footage, especially between Shang-Chi and Awkwafina’s Katy. The trailer also boasts new footage of Shang-Chi in action, with a particular focus on him using the Ten Rings.
Some of the most exciting moments from the trailer include Shang-Chi and his father Wenwu fighting using the Ten Rings, as well as Michelle Yeoh’s character harnessing the power of the wind. The trailer also briefly shows flying creatures, likely dragons, attacking bystanders. The trailer also does a great job of showing Katy and Shang-Chi’s friendly relationship, with the hero even teaching Katy how to pronounce his name.
Here is the synopsis for Simu Liu’s Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings:
