A new photo teasing Ironheart’s debut has surfaced as Black Panther: Wakanda Forever begins production in Massachusetts.
Earlier this week, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige confirmed that Dominique Thorne would be making her debut as Ironheart in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, which is currently set to film in Worchester, Massacehsusts. Now, a new photo taken from the Worchester set teases Thorne’s debut as the Iron Man successor.
Telegram.com was able to snag a photo of vehicles being transported into the city. Among the armored vehicles is a police car from the city of Cambridge. Cambridge, Massachusetts is where MIT is located. MIT plays a critical role in the Iron Heart mythos as that’s where Riri Williams, a.k.a Iron Heart goes to school and develops her suit. It is expected that key scenes featuring Williams will be shot at the prestigious university.
It’s unclear how much of a prominent role Ironheart will play in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Ironheart is set to receive her own six-episode Disney Plus series shortly after the Black Panther sequel debuts next year. Expectations are sky-high for the sequel, which is set to be a tribute to Chadwick Boseman and further carry on the Black Panther legacy. Details on the sequel are slim, though it is interesting how a decent portion of the film appears to be set in North America. Up until recently, the Black Panther sequel was being shot in Atlanta, Georgia.
Here is the synopsis for the first Black Panther film:
After the death of his father, the king of Wakanda, young T’Challa returns home to the isolated high-tech African nation to succeed to the throne and take his rightful place as king. But when a powerful enemy reappears, T’Challa’s mettle as king – and Black Panther – is tested when he’s drawn into a formidable conflict that puts the fate of Wakanda and the entire world at risk. Faced with treachery and danger, he must release the full power of Black Panther to defeat his foes and secure the safety of his people and their way of life.
Directed by Ryan Coogler, the film stars Chadwick Boseman, Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Martin Freeman, Daniel Kaluuya, Letitia Wright, Winston Duke, Angela Bassett, Forest Whitaker, and Andy Serkis.
