The salaries of Robert Pattinson on The Batman and Chris Hemsworth for Thor: Love and Thunder have been revealed.
What an actor makes on a film has been a hot topic as of late with Scarlett Johansson’s lawsuit against Disney since films are now being released on streaming services alongside a theatrical release. Variety recently dropped a piece about the biggest salaries amongst movie stars, and it featured some surprising figures.
Daniel Craig topped the list with $100 million for the upcoming Knives Out sequels. On the comic book movie side of things, Chris Hemsworth collected $20 million for Thor: Love and Thunder while Robert Pattinson earned $3 million on The Batman.
It’s worth noting that The Batman is Robert Pattinson’s first outing as the Dark Knight, and stars tend to earn more over time with sequels, which is why Chris Hemsworth’s figure is so much more.
The plot of The Batman is being kept under lock and key, but we know the film will follow Robert Pattinson as a younger version of Bruce Wayne, chronicling Batman during his second year as the Dark Knight of Gotham City. The film will also show off the hero using his skills as a detective more than what we’ve seen before in previous versions of the hero. It is also expected to be the first installment in a new trilogy of films with Pattinson.
Directed by Matt Reeves, The Batman stars Robert Pattinson as the titular hero, Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Paul Dano as the Riddler, Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner James Gordon, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone, Peter Sarsgaard as Gil Colson, Jayme Lawson as Bella Reál, with Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, and Colin Farrell as the Penguin.
The Batman is scheduled to hit theaters on March 4, 2022, while Thor: Love and Thunder will hit theaters on May 6, 2022. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding both films, and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more video content.
