New ‘Venom 2’ Posters Show Woody Harrelson’s Carnage Against Tom Hardy’s Symbiote

Sony has dropped two new Venom: Let There Be Carnage posters that show Woody Harrelson’s Cletus Kasady battling against Tom Hardy’s Eddie Brock.

Venom: Let There Be Carnage is one of the most anticipated films of the year as it pits two of the superhero genre’s fan-favorite characters against one another. The upcoming sequel will see Woody Harrelson assuming the role of Cletus Kasady, a maniacal and deranged serial killer who eventually becomes the host of Carnage, another symbiote.

With concerns surrounding the Deta variant rising, Sony pushed back the release date of Venom: Let There Be Carnage by three weeks earlier this month. As disappointing as the news is, the studio has released two new posters to console hard-hit fans. Both posters show Woody Harrelson and Tom Hardy fully suited up in their symbiote forms. One poster shows Carnage attacking Venom, while the other shows both of them side-by-side, giving fans a great look at how both symbiotes look when placed right beside one another.

The posters do a great job of highlighting how similar the characters are. The biggest difference between Venom and Carnage appears to be that Carnage’s teeth are far more sharp and thin, making his bites all the more deadly.

Here is the synopsis for Sony’s first Venom film:

The evolution story of Marvel’s most enigmatic, complex and badass character – Venom! Eddie Brock (Tom Hardy) is a broken man after he loses everything including his job and fiancée. Just when his life is at its lowest, he becomes host to an alien symbiote which results in extraordinary superpowers – transforming him into Venom. Will these powers be enough for this new lethal protector to defeat great evil forces, especially against the far stronger and more weaponized symbiote rival, Riot?

Directed by Ruben Fleischer from a script written by Jeff Pinkner & Scott Rosenberg and Kelly Marcel, Venom stars Tom Hardy, Michelle Williams, Riz Ahmed, Scott Haze, Reid Scott, Jenny Slate, Ron Cephas Jones, and Woody Harrelson.

The film is now available on Digital HD, 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD. Stay tuned for all the latest news regarding Sony’s Venom: Let There Be Carnage and be sure to subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more content!
