Amazon’s ‘The Lord Of The Rings’ Series Gets First Look & Release Date

Amazon released the first look alongside the official release date for their expensive Lord of the Rings series.

Much of the talk surrounding Amazon’s stab at The Lord of the Rings franchise has been about the show’s high price tag, which is said to be $465 million for the first season. Filming on that first season has already finished in New Zealand. There were rumors that the series could premiere as early as this year, but we now know we will have to wait a lot longer than that.

On Monday, Amazon revealed The Lord of the Rings series will hit the streaming service on September 2, 2022. The studio also shared a brief first look at the series, which features an unknown character in front of what appears to be Valmar, also known as the City of Bells.
