A brand new trailer for Ghostbusters: Afterlife is filled with insane teases and crazy supernatural action.
Originally set to debut last summer, Ghostbusters: Afterlife was delayed numerous times due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Now that theatres around the world have opened up, the Ghostbusters spin-off has positioned itself as the family-friendly Thanksgiving offering. Set decades after the original 80s classic, the film focuses on Egon’s grandkids and how they become the next generation of Ghostbusters when the new town they inhabit becomes filled with supernatural entities.
With a new release date set in stone, Sony has released a brand new trailer for their sci-fi action-horror flick. The trailer puts great emphasis on teasing the connection between the original team of Ghostbusters and the new, more experienced team of juvenile teens. In fact, the trailer ends by teasing Bill Murray’s Peter Venkman. Beyond that, the trailer is filled to the brim with insane supernatural action from the ghosts that are terrorizing the town.

Here is the official synopsis for Jason Reitman’s Ghostbusters: Afterlife:
After being evicted from their home, a single mother and her two children are forced to move to a decayed farmhouse in Summerville, Oklahoma, left to them by the children’s late grandfather, where a series of unexplained earthquakes are occurring despite not being situated on any fault and strange things are happening in an old mine once belonged to the alleged occultist Ivo Shandor.
The children discover their grandfather’s history with the original Ghostbusters, who have since been largely forgotten by the world beyond their fan base.
When supernatural phenomena relating to New York City’s “Manhattan Crossrip of 1984” arises and threatens the town, the kids, along with their family and friends, must use the Ghostbusters’ equipment to save it.[1][2]
Directed by Jason Reitman from a script he co-wrote with Gil Kena, Ghostbusters: Afterlife stars Carrie Coon, Finn Wolfhard, Mckenna Grace, Paul Rudd, Celeste O’Connor, Logan Kim, Bokeem Woodbine, Oliver Cooper, Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, Sigourney Weaver, and Annie Potts.
Ghostbusters: Afterlife is scheduled to be released in theaters on November 11, 2021. Stay tuned to Heroic Hollywood for the latest news on Jason Reitman’s sequel as we learn it and subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content in the future!
