Director Peyton Reed has confirmed that Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lily’s Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania has begun filming.
While production on Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania began months ago in Turkey and San Francisco, director Peyton Reed has confirmed that the Paul Rudd-led film has begun principal photography in England. In fact, Rudd and Michael Douglas have been in England since last month prepping for the film, which has just begun rolling cameras with the main cast. Productions have been forced to change the way they film thanks to COVID, which means that huge cinematic undertakings like those produced by Marvel are often finding ways to film without cast members.
Director Peyton Reed announced the commencement of principal photography for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania on Twitter but quickly deleted the post. Shortly after, Reed tweeted it out again. The tweet features Cassie’s hideous bunny from the first Ant-Man film, teasing Cassie Lang’s likely extended appearance in the film.
It begins.

Details surrounding the film are slim, though it is known that Jonathan Majors’ Kang/He Who Remains will be playing a pivotal role as the villain. Loki director Kate Herron congratulated Reed on the start of production with a cheerful GIF. Kang debuted in Herron’s Loki, and both directors collaborated together to cast Majors in the role.
