Set photos from Ezra Miller’s The Flash have teased the film’s Gotham City setting.
Ezra Miller’s The Flash will be exploring both Central City and Gotham City thanks to multiple Batmen appearing in the film. Currently filming in The United Kingdom, The Flash is set to feature both Ben Affleck and Michael Keaton’s take on The Caped Crusader. Now that filming has hit the historical city of Glasgow, eagle-eyed fans have been noticing that the city is slowly morphing into Gotham. Though The Flash hasn’t begun to roll cameras in the Scottish city, crews have already begun prepping for the monstrous suit by propping up set pieces.
It’s unclear which Gotham City will be taking place in Glasgow, though it would make sense to make it Michael Keaton’s version, considering the 1989 film was shot in England, where key scenes from The Flash were also filmed. The city of Glasgow does line up with Tim Burton’s gothic aesthetic that graced fans in 1989 more than Ben Affleck’s seedy, megalopolis take on the city.
One batch of set photos taken by a local resident shows a bus run by the “Gotham Transit Authority”, though the word Gotham is scotched out with tape. However, the license plate is that of Central City’s, implying that the two cities are connected.

Interestingly enough, a school bus was spotted in Glasgow that bears the name of Central City, not Gotham. It’s unclear if the Glasgow set of the Ezra Miller film doubles as both Central City and Gotham, or just the one. The Central City school bus could very well be from a field trip of sorts. An electric company by the name of Zeus Lightings is also seen plastered on the side of a van. Another batch of photos shows the crew prepping throughout the city and setting up a fruit market.
