Michaela Coel has joined the cast of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever as filming gets underway in Atlanta.
Despite Chadwick Boseman’s tragic death less than a year ago, Ryan Coogler and Marvel Studios have quickly changed gears on the direction of the Black Panther franchise with the sequel and a planned Disney Plus series. Filming on Wakanda Forever recently started in Atlanta and additions to the sequel’s cast continue to come out.
Beyond Black Panther: Wakanda Forever not featuring the return of T’Challa, details on the upcoming installment have been kept under wraps in typical Marvel fashion. However, Variety is reporting that I May Destroy You star Michaela Coel will be part of the sequel. Other credits attached to Coel’s name include the “USS Callister” episode of Black Mirror, Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Chewing Gum, and Been So Long.
