Shang-Chi star Michelle Yeoh has joined The Witcher prequel series Blood Origin.
Netflix is rounding out the cast for its upcoming The Witcher prequel series titled Blood Origin. The series is set to detail the origins of the first-ever Witcher, as well as the ‘conjunction of the spheres’, an event that saw man and all other sentient beings coming together. The Witcher prequel is set approximately 1200 years before the Henry Cavill series. The cast for Blood Origin has slowly been filling up, with recent additions including Laurence O’Fuarain. Now, Michelle Yeoh, who can next be seen in Marvel’s Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, has been cast in the series as Scian.
Netflix officially revealed details regarding Michelle Yeoh’s character on Twitter. Her character is described as “an artist with the blade” who is on a quest that will forever change the Continent. The Shang-Chi actor will likely be appearing in a supporting role for the six-part live-action series. Details are still slim on the literal happenings of the plot, but it is known that the series will be led by Jodie Turner-Smith.
