The fact that it’s a third-party amiibo isn’t the sticking point here – we’ve already seen the likes of Dark Souls, Monster Hunter and Shovel Knight get immortalised in NFC-ready plastic figures – it’s more that the source of this particular rumour is 4chan, which is almost always enough to get alarm bells ringing.
