Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has hinted at future projects with Black Widow star Scarlett Johansson.
After years of fan anticipation, Marvel has finally released Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow, which serves as the perfect sendoff for both the character and the actor. The prequel film details Natasha Romanoff’s childhood and surrogate family, and how they manage to take on the elusive Taskmaster. The story serves as a fitting farewell to Johansson’s character, all the while introducing fans to Florence Pugh’s Yelena, who will likely take on the Black Widow mantle herself. Despite most of the buildup and hype around Black Widow focusing on the film being Johansson’s last with the studio, Kevin Feige has teased at future projects with the actor.
In an interview with ET Online at the Black Widow premiere, Marvel’s Kevin Feige discussed working on future projects with Scarlett Johansson. Seeing as Johansson was a producer on the film, it’s entirely possible that Feige and Johansson could produce a slew of other Black Widow-related projects together.
“Marvel is always about new beginnings and Scarlett Johansson is such an amazing partner for us. She was a producer on this film. She was the one that brought us our amazing director, Cate Shortland, and I am excited to continue working with her in any way possible if we’re so lucky.”
