‘Dungeons And Dragons’ Set Photos Show New Look At Michelle Rodriguez

Set photos from the Dungeons and Dragons film give us a new look at Michelle Rodriguez, Justice Smith, and Chris Pine’s characters.

The iconic table-top roleplaying game Dungeons and Dragons is getting the live-action treatment with a studded cast. Starring Michelle Rodriguez, Justice Smith, and Chris Pine in the lead roles, the project is directed by the duo behind Game Night and wrote Spider-Man: Homecoming. Filming is currently taking place in Belfast, North Ireland, which is filled with iconic castles and medieval structures, perfectly lining up with the roleplaying game’s aesthetic. Dungeons and Dragons was also filming in Iceland earlier this year.

Details are currently slim on the Dungeons and Dragons film, though it is known that Hugh Grant (also snapped wearing robes) will be starring as the film’s villain. Michelle Rodriguez and Chris Pine are set to lead the film, with Justice Smith supporting. The film will likely honor the game’s traditional medieval roots and influences since most of the film is being shot in locations with a strong monarchic presence.

Set photos taken from The Daily Mail posted on Twitter show off Michelle Rodriguez and Justice Smith on a medieval boat. A clear look at their costumes isn’t available but Rodriguez, who is wearing a life jacket, can be seen sporting battle scars on her arms. Chris Pine can also be seen near the boat. The film’s big bad, Hugh Grant was also spotted near the set rocking a set of evil-looking robes.
