The newest episode of Star Wars: The Bad Batch revealed the real name of the legendary Bounty Hunter, Boba Fett.
SPOILERS for Star Wars: The Bad Batch Episode 109, entitled “Bounty Lost” down below.
As it turns out, the young clone known Omega (Michelle Ang), a female clone that joins the titular team is a “pure genetic replication” of Jango Fett. The Empire looks to move on from Clone Troopers to Stormtroopers, and the Kaminoans want Omega back because they believe she is the only source of Jango’s DNA. Little did they know that Boba Fett is still alive somewhere in the galaxy.
In the episode, Hunter tells Omega about whether or not there are other clones like her. He responds, “To my knowledge, there’s only one other. A male clone code-named Alpha, later referred to as Boba.” The connection between Alpha and Omega potentially teases a sibling connection between the two characters, but it sure looks like there is much in store to expand the lore of Boba Fett’s story with both The Bad Batch and his upcoming series, The Book of Boba Fett.

The series follows the elite and experimental clones of the Bad Batch (first introduced in The Clone Wars) as they find their way in a rapidly changing galaxy in the immediate aftermath of the Clone War. Members of Bad Batch — a unique squad of clones who vary genetically from their brothers in the Clone Army — each possess a singular exceptional skill, which makes them extraordinarily effective soldiers and a formidable crew.
