Matthew Robinson has been revealed as the writer on the upcoming Star Wars: Rogue Squadron film from Wonder Woman director Patty Jenkins.
The Star Wars franchise will live on Disney Plus for the next few years, with several shows currently filming. Lucasfilm has a few projects planned for the big screen as well, with Star Wars: Rogue Squadron up first for 2023. When the project was initially announced back in December, Patty Jenkins was also revealed as the director, but details were quiet on who the writer was.
The Hollywood Reporter has now shared that Matthew Robinson will write Patty Jenkins’ Rogue Squadron film. Robinson’s resume includes The Invention of Lying, Love and Monsters, Dora and the Lost City of Gold, and the upcoming Edge of Tomorrow sequel. The Star Wars film will reportedly begin pre-production this fall and start principal photography in 2022.
