‘Black Adam’: Pierce Brosnan Says Doctor Fate Role Requires Mo-Cap Suit

Black Adam star Pierce Brosnan revealed that the role of Doctor Fate required him to wear a motion-capture suit.

After being announced nearly a decade ago, Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam is finally filming in Atlanta, Georgia. Details are still slim on the production, but it is known that key Justice Society of America characters like Hawkman, Atom Smasher and Doctor Fate will be appearing in the film. Joining Johnson as fellow JSA members are rising star Noah Centineo and James Bond actor Pierce Brosnan. Black Adam is set to be Brosnan’s first outing in the superhero genre, and one of his rare fantastical productions.

While chatting with his son for People, he revealed key details about the Black Adam production. Brosnan described the production is lengthy, mentioning that the project has been rolling cameras for over 3 months. The James Bond star also revealed that his Doctor Fate suit is completely through motion-capture and that he doesn’t really know what the final suit will look like. It makes sense that the suit will be added in post-production as Doctor Fate’s costume is notoriously complicated thanks to a golden helmet that extends into a chest piece.

“This is such a big movie so the schedule is changing….I do have to put the motion capture suit on…” – @PierceBrosnan talks about the scheduling of ‘Black Adam’ and Doctor Fate’s costume with his son for @people. pic.twitter.com/D7Lqk8FBAy
