Loki director Kate Herron would love to direct a Spider-Man movie with Tom Holland.
Kate Herron directed all six episodes of Loki, and now that she has one Marvel Studios project under her belt, she’s not opposed to making the jump from a television series to a film. In fact, there’s on Marvel character in particular she would love to direct a movie for.
In an interview with The Playlist, Herron was asked about what Marvel Cinematic Universe character she would love to tackle besides the titular God of Mischief, to which she responded:
“There are so many, you know… I’m a massive Spider-Man fan. That would be a dream of mine. I think Tom Holland is fantastic and I’ve really been enjoying his version of the character.”
Director Jon Watts has been the “guy in the chair” for Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures’ collaboration on Spider-Man movies starring Tom Holland, having directed Homecoming, Far From Home, and the hotly-anticipated sequel No Way Home, which wrapped production earlier this year. The future of the wall crawler in the MCU after his third standalone film remains a mystery, but if Kevin Feige and Sony were interested in going for a new director now that Watts will next direct a Fantastic Four reboot, Herron would certainly love to jump at the opportunity if offered.
