Rainbow Six Extraction Deploying Tactical Co-Op Action September 16 for Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S

The operators of Rainbow Six Extraction are bringing co-op tactical action to Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S with full cross play, cross-save, and cross-progression on September 16, when they take on their biggest threat yet: an alien menace whose virulent spread threatens to overwhelm humanity.

Formerly known as Rainbow Six Quarantine, Rainbow Six Extraction is a PvE co-op experience in which up to three players can form a squad from a pool of Rainbow Six Siege Operators who have joined Ash, Mira, and Thermite to form the Rainbow Exogenous Analysis Containment Team (REACT).

As the next mainline game in the Rainbow Six franchise, Extraction offers plenty of exciting new features while building on tactical gameplay elements introduced in Rainbow Six Siege. To confront and eventually contain a growing alien threat known as Archæans, your squad can choose from a roster of 18 operators, each with their own set of gadgets, weapons, and abilities, many of which have been updated for deployment against a new enemy.

Different combinations of operators can open new strategies for approaching the Archæan threats. Set across four regions in the United States, each of Extraction’s 12 maps feature procedurally generated challenges, a diverse set of enemies, and infestations with increasing difficulty the further you go in, all designed to keep your REACT squad on its toes and test your teamwork.

Of course, it’s not just about adjusting to the world and the Archæan presence – you’ll also need to make some tough decisions. After completing a mission within each containment sub-zone, you’ll have the option to extract your squad and net the rewards you’ve earned so far, or venture deeper into containment and risk what you’ve earned to confront tougher enemies and earn greater rewards. That gamble could mean temporarily losing one of your operators; if they fall, they’ll be listed as Missing in Action (MIA) within the containment zone and removed from your selectable operators. To get them back, you’ll have to squad up and launch a rescue mission.

How much will you and your squad risk to complete your mission? Will teamwork and Rainbow gadgets really be enough to counter an alien threat? Find out when Rainbow Six Extraction drops September 16 for Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
