Aquaman star Jason Momoa reflected on the release of Zack Snyder’s Justice League and revealed he never did reshoots for the four-hour version.
Jason Momoa is getting ready to play Arthur Curry once again for James Wan’s recently titled Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. However, we finally got to see Zack Snyder’s take on the character in his Justice League cut that came out a few months ago. Momoa was one of the first Justice League cast members to come out and support the Snyder Cut movement, and the actor is talking about it now that the version is out there.
On The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Jason Momoa looked back on the release of Zack Snyder’s Justice League and shared that he didn’t do any extra work on the film as Aquaman:
“Listen, I love Zack, and that’s kind of what I signed up for – whatever, eight years ago – is to have his vision. An you know, the cool thing about that four-hour piece is that I didn’t reshoot anything. Like that was all there. So it’s interesting when people come up to me and they’re like, ‘Oh, I really love this, and it was so detailed, and it explained so much.’ I’m like ‘Yeah, that’s what we went and shot.’ I didn’t have to redo anything.”

Here is the synopsis for Zack Snyder’s Justice League:
“In ZACK SNYDER’S JUSTICE LEAGUE, determined to ensure Superman’s (Henry Cavill) ultimate sacrifice was not in vain, Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) aligns forces with Diana Prince (Gal Gadot) with plans to recruit a team of metahumans to protect the world from an approaching threat of catastrophic proportions. The task proves more difficult than Bruce imagined, as each of the recruits must face the demons of their own pasts to transcend that which has held them back, allowing them to come together, finally forming an unprecedented league of heroes. Now united, Batman (Affleck), Wonder Woman (Gadot), Aquaman (Jason Momoa), Cyborg (Ray Fisher) and The Flash (Ezra Miller) may be too late to save the planet from Steppenwolf, DeSaad and Darkseid and their dreadful intentions.”
The Snyder Cut stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Jason Momoa, Ray Fisher, Jeremy Irons, Diane Lane, Connie Nielsen, JK Simmons, and Ciarán Hinds.
