Patrick Wilson teased his upcoming film Aquaman 2 will be even more epic in scale than the first.
Aquaman 2 is one of four major projects coming from DC Films set to hit theaters in 2022. The highly-anticipated sequel to the 2018 blockbuster sees the return of James Wan to the director’s chair, and according to Orm/Ocean Master actor Patrick Wilson, it looks like the highly-anticipated film will further broaden the scope of the undersea world of Atlantis.
While promoting his new film The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It, Patrick Wilson touched upon what fans should expect from Aquaman 2, while also giving a brief update on production. The actor mentioned that he’s on his eighth week of training for his role as Orm, and hinted at what James Wan has in store:
“With James, when he comes back for a sequel, it becomes bigger and better and broader and more funny, more action, more character work… In about a month or so, they start… and then I go and in a couple of months we start.”
Aquaman 2 will be the sixth actor/director collaboration between Patrick Wilson and James Wan, and interestingly enough, their third sequel. Before Aquaman, the two previously worked together on Insidious, Insidious: Chapter 2, The Conjuring and The Conjuring 2.
