Newly-surfaced merchandise for Eternals hints at a major connection to Thanos.
The teaser for Marvel’s Eternals dropped last week, giving fans their first look at the cosmic team that has been observing and protecting Earth for the last thousands of years. Despite the teaser, details for the film are relatively slim. In fact, one of the biggest pieces fans don’t know is how the team managed to stay hidden for so long. However, a merchandise leak in the form of a wall calendar gives us an indication as to how the Eternals have remained away from the limelight. And where is it that the Eternals managed to hide away? Titan, Thanos’ home planet.
We’ve known for a while that the Eternals are connected to Thanos, mostly through Angelina Jolie’s character Thena, who is the Mad Titan’s first cousin. Of course, Thanos himself is actually an Eternal who was born with the Deviant Syndrome. So, what does this have to do with the film’s plot? Well, the calendar leak implies that the Eternals were observing Earth from Titan. Titan is best remembered as the battleground between Tony Stark, The Guardians of the Galaxy, Doctor Strange, Spider-Man and Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War. Titan is also Thanos’ home planet, which he saw perish after its council ignored his concerns regarding population control.
You can check out the blurb from the wall calendar below.

What are your thoughts on the Thanos connection? Do you think he’ll make an appearance in Eternals? Comment below and let us know!
Jack Kirby created the title in 1976. In the comics, the Eternals are a fictional evolutionary offshoot of humanity who possess superpowers and longer lifespans than normal humans. Created by the Celestials over a million years ago, the superpowered beings were the result of genetic experiments that led to the creation of two divergent races: The Eternals and The Deviants.
Often defending Earth from their monstrous counterparts, the Eternals became embroiled in a civil war amongst themselves over whether or not they should conquer the other races. One faction was led by Kronos and the other by his warlike brother named Uranos, with Kronos’ side ultimately winning the conflict while Uranos and his followers were exiled.
Chloé Zhao is directing Eternals from a script written by Matthew and Ryan Firpo. The cast of the Marvel Studios project includes Gemma Chan as Sersi, Kit Harington as Dane Whitman, Richard Madden as Ikaris, Kumail Nanjiani as Kingo, Lauren Ridloff as Makkari, Brian Tyree Henry as Phastos, Salma Hayek as Ajak, Lia McHugh as Sprite, Don Lee as Gilgamesh, Angelina Jolie as Thena, and Barry Keoghan as Druig.
Eternals is set to hit theaters on November 5, 2021. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
