Opposite attraction.
Team17, with developer Astral Pixel, has lifted the lid on a neat Switch eShop title that’s due to arrive very soon. Super Magbot will land on 22nd June, but the rather nice news is that a demo is live today, so we can all give it a whirl before deciding whether to take the plunge.
The key mechanic is that this is a platformer without jumping, as you use magnetic fields to cross gaps and build momentum – to us it looks like the Teslagrad magnet mechanic has been blended with Super Meat Boy. The trailer above showcases some tricky gameplay, and apparently the demo will give us the first 15 levels and “a set of tougher levels from later in the game”.
