Happy Gilmore star Christopher McDonald becomes the latest big name to join Marvel Studios’ upcoming Secret Invasion series for Disney Plus.
Secret Invasion is gearing up to start filming soon, and more cast members continue to add to the star-studded affair. The Disney Plus series is already set to star Samuel L. Jackson and Ben Mendelsohn back in their MCU roles while the project will also welcome Olivia Colman, Emilia Clarke, Kingsley Ben-Adir, and Killian Scott to the franchise.
Deadline reports Christopher McDonald will also be a part of the Secret Invasion series for Disney Plus. While we don’t know who McDonald is playing in the Marvel series, it was also reported that he will be an original character who may have a major role moving forward across film and TV. McDonald is best known for his role as Shooter McGavin in Happy Gilmore.

Here is the official synopsis for Marvel Studios’ next series coming to Disney Plus, Loki:
“Picking up immediately after Loki steals the Tesseract (again), he finds himself called before the Time Variance Authority, a bureaucratic organization that exists outside of time and space, forced to answer for his crimes against the timeline and given a choice: face deletion from reality or assist in catching an even greater threat.”
Directed by Kate Herron with Michael Waldron serving as head writer, Loki stars Tom Hiddleston, Sophia Di Martino, Owen Wilson, and Gugu Mbatha-Raw.
Loki will premiere exclusively on Disney Plus starting June 9.
