Black Adam star Dwayne Johnson is set to voice Krypto the Superdog in DC League of Super-Pets next year.
You might have forgotten that Warner Bros. has been developing a DC League of Super-Pets movie amidst all the craziness of the headlines surrounding the DC Extended Universe in the last year or so. But the studio has announced that Dwayne Johnson will lead the animated film as Krypto the Superdog. Obviously at the moment, the actor is busy filming on another DC project, Black Adam.
Warner Bros. announced the news in a press release which also confirmed that DC League of Super-Pets is set to arrive in theaters on May 20, 2022. Dwayne Johnson’s Krypto will also star alongside other pets with superpowers, who are set to be voiced by an “all-star” cast. It’s directed by Jared Levine and Sam Levine, while Johnson is also credited as an executive producer on the animated film.

In addition to Dwayne Johnson, Black Adam also stars Aldis Hodge as Hawkman, Noah Centineo as Atom Smasher, Quintessa Swindell as Cyclone and Pierce Brosnan as Doctor Fate. Sarah Shahi, Marwan Kenzari, James Cusati-Moyer and Bodhi Sabongui are also on board in undisclosed roles.
Dwayne Johnson, Dany Garcia and Hiram Garcia of Seven Bucks Productions are producing the Black Adam movie with Beau Flynn of FlynnPictureCo. FlynnPictureCo’s Scott Sheldon serves as an executive producer.
